Purposes

2. In accordance with European Regulation 2016/679 on General Data Protection and the corresponding national laws, MILLER Car Hire processes the personal data provided for the following purposes:

  • Administer the contractual relationship related to vehicle rental.
  • Manage and bill vehicle rentals.
  • Address possible incidents, including accidents that occur during the vehicle rental period.
  • Manage administrative procedures and communications resulting from the contractual relationship.
  • Keep the customer informed about offers, products, services, and promotions from MILLER Car Hire or third parties that may be of interest, via email or equivalent means.
  • Conduct promotional activities in collaboration with companies in the transportation and tourism sectors that participate in MILLER Car Hire activities.
  • Create a commercial profile based on the evolution of commercial activity related to reservations made. It is noted that no automated decisions will be made based on this profile.

 

Data Retention Period

3. Data will be stored for the period necessary to fulfill the provision of services or the contractual relationship.

They will be kept in custody until their deletion is requested and for the time required to comply with the legal obligations applicable to each type of data.

4. The legal basis for the processing of personal data is based on:

The execution of a contract with MILLER Car Hire for the treatments mentioned in points (i), (ii), (iii), and (iv) of section 4.2.

The express consent given for each purpose at the time of providing personal data through vehicle reservations for the treatments mentioned in points (v), (vi), and (vii) of section 4.2.

 

Recipients

5. Personal data may be shared with third parties to facilitate the processing of reservation payments (e.g., banking or financial entities that own the payment methods used and payment gateways). Additionally, MILLER Car Hire may share data with insurance companies to manage and process accidents that occur during the rental period. Data may also be transferred to public bodies and authorities as established by relevant laws.

 

Rights of Data Subjects

6. Data subjects have the right to access their personal data, request its correction in case of inaccuracies, or request its deletion when the data is no longer necessary for the original purposes. In certain cases, they may request the restriction of data processing or object to it. They also have the right to data portability and to withdraw consent at any time, without affecting the legality of processing prior to consent withdrawal.

Ownership of the Fleet, Applicable Legislation, and Jurisdiction

  1. The company MILLER Car Hire owns the rights to use the vehicles rented to its customers, in accordance with the general rental conditions established.

 

  1. This contract will be governed and interpreted in accordance with Spanish laws. MILLER Car Hire expresses its intention to resolve any differences amicably. If this is not possible, any dispute that arises between the parties will be submitted to the Courts and Tribunals of the city corresponding to the consumer’s domicile, in accordance with current legislation, or to the Courts and Tribunals of the city of Elche when the contracting party is a business.
